Dinkum goes on the road

by Rick on January 12, 2009. Posted under: Internet Marketing.

On Saturday I had the pleasure of heading two sessions and participating on a panel for NSA. A bit daunting speaking in front of a group who looks to get paid for their speaking with me not being part of the group. By all accounts I wa not lynched and had a great time. If you have a chance you should check out some of the folks that participated:

Tom Gray

Sally Witt

Karyn Greenstreet

Steve Coscia

I think those who came brought with them a special enthusiasm you only find with a group of – largely entrepreneurs – who would not mind taking a whole Saturday – with questionable weather and spend it trying to better things.

If I were to summarize the event – be part of the conversation. If you have something to add about a subject then be involved. In one of my sessions I told everyone that if they were serious about Internet marketing at all then they need to subscribe to Conversation Agent and The Harte of Marketing.

Valaria and Beth have stepped up to the plate to really show the rest of us the how and the why – so my quesiton is – why is it not being done to the extent results would bring you to think they might be. Well my answwer is that the Internet has made change a much more rapid evolution and things that might have taken years to catch on just 30 years ago can now be on top of the world in a short period of time and gone the same way. The only way to stay is to be consistent and most of all participate. My closing remark was – have fun. There are so many different ways to participate online – find out what you enjoy doing and have fun doing it.

So – what are you doing that you consider “fun” online?

Lastly Beth and Valaria have shown me the way that i should consider more graphics – so here is my graphic for the day -

I agree that things move faster and to stay consistantly on top is to offer great value.
