LinkedIn Saddles A Dark Horse
May 18, 2012. Posted under: Blog, Social Media.
This month, business networking site, LinkedIn announced the acquisition of SlideShare for $118.8 million. SlideShare allows users to upload and share PowerPoint and other slide presentations with business users, either on the Slideshare site or embedded on blogs, websites and shared on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook. SlideShare is sometimes known as the “dark horse of B2B marketing”. It’s an interesting

I don’t normally leave comments! But what you said here makes one think! Would you mind if I placed a link back from my blog?
But wonder what happens if the comments are nofollow?
Matt
these are all good points, I would just like to add to the compelling content, always make sure you are writing for real people, not just for the se spiders.
this has two benefits, it gives your visitors something that they will want to read, the se (atleast google) knows how long people stay on your site and if they stay a read a good lengthy article of post, this will give you better ranking and will even give you better prices for ebery click you get should you be using adsense on that page.
the other reason is nothing more than it will give you a following, people will recommend you to friends and will even search for you through google and the like, this again will get the se’s looking for content written you , oh lastly, choose a pen name that is uniqueso that there is more chance of you and your content being found.
Cap ;)
Not only wordpress delivers a fully SEO optimized blog. Google’s own blogspot also gives what would be a SEO ready blog. And it is perhaps what you could expect when google creates their own blogs..
Captain: Is there any evidence for the assumption that the length of visitors stay has anything to do with ranking and adsense earnings? it certainly sounds like something that should be a part of any SE’s algorithm, but i have never heard of it before..
Hubpages offers a good set of seo tools built in. I use it for market tests and for feature writing. As per previous comment Google’s own blogs seem to work well too.
Very Informative Informations..Based on my experience those informationsis very helpful..Thanks
Interesting stuff, Matt. What are some advantages of setting up a blog on wordpress vs. other sites?
Another good tip: make sure you update your content frequently (weekly at a minimum and if possible, daily). No one wants to go to a site that contains old information.
WordPress is a ready made money making machine really… Just a few alterations here and there and regular, great content and you should be $$’s in.
Sure WP is good, but I agree that some plugins is helpful, and to find your keywords is essential to list at the top of google.
Google is the 10,000lb Gorilla. And Google has loved Blogs for quite some time. However one should be wary of taking what Matt Cutts publishes on his blog as the whole truth and nothing but the truth. That being said I use WordPress on a number of projects and Highly Recommend anyone interested in building a qualiyt presense without the desire to become a coder use the product.
your great. thanks for the tips I have learned a lot
I agree with Captain on his point. I started my first blog and wrote purely for the search-engines. Lots of keyword-rich rubbish! I got great Alexa rankings very quickly but ZERO readership.
This meant that people were stopping-by alright but soon realize the content was garbage. I now write purely for the HUMAN reader and offer only the best content I can create.
I rarely publish anyhing that anybody has written, but will do so if anybody can suggest some great authors.
I agree, it wasn’t until I offered real input and tips on how to find people that my bookmarking rate began to climb. It also helps when you offer to do free searches once in a while lol!
Advantages of wordpress compared against other platforms? WORDPRESS kicks ass. The plugins, the userfriendly userface, the control… man everything of wordpress just rocks!
There are so many plug ins in the wordpress and it has so many advantages if it is used properly with proper rules which gives you a good traffic to your site
You’re right in mentioning number 3 with their All-in-one SEO pack. And I find their plug ins really useful, especially the database backup.
Seo seems so mystrious but actually it isn’t.
Stumbled across your blog accidentally. But glad I did. I recently moved to WordPress from blogger and really am amazed with it. Regretting the late move. And I agree, WordPress is one of the best SEO. By default. Also If the comments are do-follow it really can be awesome.
Some really good points mentioned here. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice information. Thanks for this.
Hi,
I don’t really understand wordpress at first but as i use it to my site it was really amazing plus this information you rendered I think it will be more fun using wordpress with SEO to rank more.
Thanks for a good info buddy!
Long live WordPress, lol.
I totaly agree with it. A few month ago I started to build websites on WP. It’s amazing.
Thanks to author.
Excellent post, i’ve only been using WordPress for about 6 months and i think it’s amazing so i understand when a high profile name or company recognises WordPress. The plugins and documentation are unreal.
Thank for you information
It very useful for me.
Thank you.
Sincerely,

I hear so many good things about WordPress.. If it makes it easier to get link then I’m in
Very well written. This is the kind of information that is useful to those want to increase their SERP’s. Keep up the good work.
Finally someone who can write a good blog ! I loved your post and will be telling others about it. Subscribing to your RSS feed now. Thanks
I located your blog on google and really appreciate your posts. I have added you to my Google News Reader. I really look forward to reading more posts from you.
I’m convinced that WordPress will maintain a leadership role in the blogosphere for a while to come. Seems that folks who stick with TypePad, etc. do so for niche reasons that I don’t quite understand.
I too really enjoy and appreciate the value provided by the All-in-One SEO plugin. It’s the first one I load up on every new blog!
before you go on a diet please read this info!!!

What do you mean by using special plug-ins? I have been doing the SEO marketing for our websites for a long time, but I have not used plug-ins yet. Thanks!
Since you are interested in internet money making, you may want to check out this article on the clearblog site that talks about internet money making. It really helped me out.
А Вы не задумывались о том, чтобы параллельно завести еще один блог, на смежную тему? У Вас неплохо получается
I appreciate the information as I am always looking to learn new things in general but especially if it will help my website and blog.
So, content is number one. But are you guys blogging only to make money? What if you can not get money from it anymore? Will you still write blogs?
These are really good points. Thanks for sharing.
I use WordPress and love it! I just wish the themes were a little easier to modify.
По правде говоря, сначала не очень то до конца понял, но перечитав второй раз дошло – спасибо!
Очень интересно. Но чего-то не хватает. Может быть, стоит добавить каких-нибудь картинок или фото?
Really? Matt Cutts said to use wordpress for SEO? I look forward to watching the video I am interested in anything he says.
Классно всё: и картинка ,и информация
И да прибудет с нами сила
Спасибо огромное. Почитал и понравилось. Картинок бы ещё
Some keyword instruments that may be utilizable in estimating demand are WordTracker and Yahoo Overture’s Term Suggestion Tool. If you’re looking to oversee both of these manually, then I recommend visiting Google Webmaster Tools and Yahoo.
Have been using WordPress for a year now-Great I found your site-your information is brilliant and has helped me make a much better blog-And yes I am trying to make a small dollar blogging-Thank you for your help.
Compelling content is important, but smart marketing and knowledge of how SEO works is also quite important. This goes beyond just doing on page optimization on a website. For example, if you are unsure of how to get your deep links in the Google/Yahoo/MSN index, I would recommend looking into xml sitemaps. I know Google and Yahoo support xml sitemaps, but I am wondering if MSN supports this yet. Does anyone know, btw?
Спасибо вам за сайт, очень полезный ресурс, мне очень нравится
What are some genius thinking outside the box type of ways to find content for your blog?
Пропущено несколько запятых, но на интересность сообщения это никак не повлияло
As an online marketing expert, I can say you have nicely covered all the points for writing SEO friendly blog. Sweet and short post.

Im designing a building a software package to help people organise their SEO activities. I think this will really help my research. Please email me with suggestions for what might go in there. Im a wordpress nut myself, its really hard to go back to producing custom solutions having worked with wordpress for a while.
I love wordpress. Although I code my own websites and systems, I still use WordPress. It’s so easy to manage and there are loads of plugins etc. I think as mentioned above, Google loves WordPress and ranks these blogs well providing they offer good content.
Good information – keep up the good work! Looking to write my first robot soon.
Great information and thanks for the post. There are numerous videos on Youtube where Matt gives other seo advice and answers questions. Just type in his name and you will see all the videos.
Thanks
I agree, great content equals people linking to you, although you could have the best content in the world, and if know one knows it is there how are they going to find it? I believe some exposure is needed to get the ball rolling, so content is not always king.
