Social marketing is important and Face Book is one of the major sites. Although with all the buzz and hype on TV I think the newest one is Twitter. You can ad what your want to your page and there is a very large audence.

Social networks should be about building relationships, discussing things together, not earning a bit of cash from Google Ads. Companies get bought for ridiculous sums and then have to justify the price tag by diluting the quality of their site, and losing sight of what made it popular in the first place.

Everyone is chasing the almighty dollar, that doesn’t exclude powerhouse Google..I understand that social networking sites should stay social and not be bombarded with advertisements but if it was your site, what would you do?
