PPC may be useful for a new web site to get some traffic, but the cost can spiral out of control if the campaign is not properly managed.

Organic SEO provides the greatest return over time. For example, when you turn off the money spigot on PPC, that traffic disappears.

If you've done a good job on Organic SEO, the traffic keeps increasing over time.

I don't think you should ever do just one or the other . I think both need to be used to launch a good online marketing campaign. great post!

Even though it usually takes longer, I would side with SEO.

PPC, depending on your market, can become insanely expensive and if those clicks don’t get converted into sales you have essentially just thrown your money out the window. In my opinion it is better to invest the money getting yourself a more permanent source of visitors by getting ranked high in the search engines.

So as usual, with PPC, more study helps. Study PPC reviews here: http://www.Hot-Data.info/ppc/

PPC should be part of an overall marketing plan. Landing pages done right can enhance a site's SEO practices.
