Performance Food Centers had a website that was not being found online which resulted in low site traffic. In 2008, it was decided that a greater emphasis on the Internet was important to their marketing mix. The importance of being found on the internet was a major concern as well as what steps were needed to increase their visibility and ranking – leading to more inquiries.
Dinkum Solution:
Dinkum Interactive assessed Performance Food Centers website and looked at options for increasing their traffic and visibility online. Dinkum Interactive worked on website modifications to increase their traffic and ranking as well as identifying the appropriate keywords for direction.
In late 2008, Performance Food Centers ranked for one keyword phrase which was “open a juice bar”. After making modifications to their website and keyword phrases, they currently rank on the first page for 10 of the phrases from the three major search engines.
In January of 2010, traffic to their website increased to an average of over 110 hits/day where in 2009, they only had 108 visits/month. Their incoming links had started at 30 and now are up over 630 and the Alexa Rank improved from 5,641,913 to 1,880,715.
Since Dinkum Interactive has started working with them and they are seeing increased results, they have added fair trade organic coffees to their line of healthy smoothies and shakes.
