You can't SEO Flash websites

I keep hearing this from fellow SEOers and even after I show them proof that it can be done, they don’t believe me. Anyone who has heard of the swfobject (previously known as FlashObject before Adobe Object-ed the use of Flash in the name) knows that it is a fairly effective workaround to any barriers that Flash sites may offer. The problem is that quite often, it’s about as much work as creating the website in the first place and may cost you as much…this is the main reason why we don’t recommend development using Flash, particularly if you need to rank on search engines. Of course, there are many reason why you really don’t need to so for those folks go right ahead and razzle dazzle us. Mostly though, there is no real need so give it some thought before you consider it.
