During an engagement that spanned several years, Dinkum partnered with luxury retailer Peter Harrington to improve their online presence and overall digital footprint. Through a custom design, WordPress integration including a custom e-commerce plugin as well as a strong SEO campaign we were able to do exactly that. We demonstrated impressive numbers month over month and year over year to a point where they were significantly dominant in their industry online.
Goals and Objectives
The objectives of the project were to provide Peter Harrington Books with a website that is graphically pleasing and representative of the firm’s international reputation; utilize modern coding practices to provide a high-quality user experience and greater Search Engine visibility; add important eCommerce and administration functionality to help the firm sell and convert better online; and employ web standards and “best practices” that provide a foundation for growth, online visibility, and accessibility (i.e. mobile applications, etc).
The project scope included general planning/consultation; original layout and graphic design; search engine “friendly” XHTML + CSS development; content and media formatting (images, media, etc); appropriate eCommerce hosting, security, and payment processing configuration; sitemap/analytics setup; and site testing & deployment.
