With a new dashboard and system design, aligning the US Unlocked brand was increasingly important to the folks at Tern who run US Unlocked. The website itself performs well on Search Engines so we were essentially aiming at minimal impact from a design refresh. With a slightly revamped site structure, we were essentially able to keep most elements of the old website so when switching over, we would be able to retain most of the Search performance and then to look for additional opportunity to improve it even further.
Dinkum worked with Tern’s internal designer who updated the “look” of the USU system and understood the importance of keeping the brand elements aligned. A key for us to this project was the ability the use our newly created WordPress “Base” theme which we have started to leverage for all our projects as a way to standardize our process and maximize site performance.
Immediately following the launch of the updated site, Search engine performance did indeed improve and has continued to show steady growth in visits and conversions (signups).
