Given we’ve been in SEO for so long, it definitely made sense for us to embrace the new kid on the block in Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). While GEO does lean heavily on the foundations of SEO, there are most certainly things that help contribute to performance on tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude.

Generative Engines do pull from search results but it’s definitely more complex than that. They rely on clarity, they rely on entities, they rely on structure that is easy to digest and content that is clear and direct. They rely on authority and credibility.

GEO covers the next phase of SEO. Keywords made way for topics and queries. Backlink for citations. Structured data has become more valuable. Rankings are now ai visibility.
